Dear Surfers:
Welcome to the Web Information of
CYDFI Philippines!

"to empower indigent but deserving talented youths living in abject
poverty found in Philippine rural areas like Bo.Calantas and Nabuclod
Aeta Community located in Floridablanca, Pampanga through a
Scholarship Program Model with a methodology called "SWREM
Theory In Action" that is designed to help them help themselves so they
can help incoming scholars leading to breaking their cycle of poverty
as they learn to become socially responsible with implications, not only
to personal but community growth and development; and, to promote
replication advocacy of said Model in other communities beginning
with Benedicto (formerly known as Barrio Stable), another barrio in
    Floridablanca.
  • Having said that, the process of "helping our indigent but deserving talented
youths" will eventually create a "ripple effect" of growth and development in
the said communities through its methodology called "SWREM Theory In
Action". SWREM is an acronym for "Spiral With Ripple Effect Motion" and
is designed to empower the youths in the target communities become more
socially responsible and productive members of society leading to breaking
their cycle of poverty, as the ticking of the clock continues to create a
rhythmic sound until the cock crows in the early dawn of day to announce the
success of the CYDFI Scholarship Program Model.
  • Calantas has already seen some of her children move on successfully because
they have a "family" who struggled and helped make a difference in their life.
Rightly so, just like a persevering farmer, they have harvested the fruits of their
labor! They deserve to be recognized as Role Models (i.e. H. Mercado, MD)
for the youths and should be a source of inspiration and a beacon of hope in
their own struggles in life as they search for a better alternative of what life has
to offer through good education, in the same manner that there are, also, those
who could hardly move on in life due to abject poverty.
  • Others tried to seek their destiny with their own strength and determination.
Time has come for some of them to look back and would like to share of
whatever they could and help make a difference in the life and future of youths
in the community. "For the future belongs to the youth and the youth holds the
light of the future with ardent passion to make a difference in his/her life...".
Lest we forget, Dr. Jose P. Rizal once said that, "The youth is the future
    (hope) of the motherland".
  • Nabuclod Aeta Community has a long way to go and needs a lot of help to
make the Scholarship Program of the Foundation work side-by-side with that
of the Calantas. However, as you explore and learn more about the situation
of the Aetas in this website, you will better understand the intent of the
Foundation on how to make the Scholarship Program work for them.
  • In the final analysis, the Foundation is investing in the future of our
youths who will, someday, become socially responsible leaders of
    tomorrow.
  • For one, the President of the Philippines, empowers our youths "to finish
their studies and go on to become productive members of our society". We
believe that her message will leave an indelible mark of empowerment for our
youths to believe in themselves and study hard to make their dreams come true
and to the best of what they are capable of being and becoming as they
discover for themselves that they have a moment in time of their life to prove,
not only to the Foundation, but to themselves that they can excel through the
CYDFI Scholarship Program, as they learn to become socially responsible.

ON SOCIAL
RESPONSIBILITY
It is
with humility
that we should
take full
responsibility
of our own actions
to hopefully
lead us see a
brighter future for
our own community.
We need to discern
and ask ourselves
of what we can
do for our
community
and not to ask
what our
community can
do for us (JFK)
to effect growth
and development,
affecting not only
to break the
cycle of poverty,
but to effect
growth and
development
in our midst,
in a socially
responsible
manner.
