Welcome and Dinner Reception of Apung Ceto at St. Patrick Church in San Francisco.
During the Pastoral Visit of Apung Ceto in the San Francisco Bay Area, he met on July 18, 2005
at the Olalia Residence in Union City with some former MGCS Seminarians and their families
to listen and have a dialogue on their plan "on how they could best respond, as laity, in
the service of the Archdiocese in the City of San Fernando , Pampanga, Philippines".
With blessing and open mind, he empowered them to pursue a cause of
"responding to the call" of the Archbishop to help address some of the
temporal needs like
LONG-TERM HEALTHCARE NEEDS,
of the aging population of the clergy in the Archdiocese.
The consensus of the group is to respond both on the (1) short and (2) long-term
perspective basis.
For the former, all x-MGCS Seminarians and their families
shall continue what they have been doing individually and/or as a family
to help and
to the latter, the need for the group to meet and organize
themselves into a more viable legal entity such as a "Foundation"
to be registered with a 501.c3 tax-exempt status in California with
an intent to raise financial resources for the (1) long-term healthcare needs of the aging
population of clergy in the Archdiocese of the City of San Fernando, Pampanga, and
(2) to provide support on the educational needs of the Seminarians at MGCS.
