CALANTAS YOUNG DREAMERS FOUNDATION, INC. (CYDFI Philippines):
- CYDFI Philippines is a nonprofit corporation with a community-based model of a Crusade Against Abject Poverty in
Philippine rural areas by positively responding to the ideals, aspirations and dreams in life of poorest of the poor but
deserving talented youths, including orphans and Aetas, through Community Youth Leadership and Empowerment
Program (CYLEP), such as: Community-Based Scholarship Project Model, with a methodology called SWREM
Theory In Action, designed to help them help themselves so they can help incoming scholars leading to breaking their
cycle of poverty as they learn to become socially responsible, with implications not only to personal but community
growth and development and to promote replication advocacy of said model in other communities.
- The projects/services of CYDFI Philippines are:
- (1) Community-Based Sholarship Project Model
(2) Leadership Training On Social Responsibility
(3) Research*** and Development (R & D)
(4) (3 R's) Literacy Enhancement and Computer/Video/Graphic Design Projects for "high-risk" youths
(5) Advocacy Replication Promotion of CYLEP to other rural areas.
| ***Research Work is a significant challenge that CYDF Scholars are encouraged to pursue in relation to their chosen careers as the result of their work can be integrated, if it is feasible with economic viability and value, into being adopted by the Foundation and to tap it for developing a project in the community to generate productivity and local employment, thus enabling into helping to address abject poverty in the rural areas where scholars live and come from. ***The sample Research Work presented in this webpage was contributed by Cherry Ann Estrada, as a group research project. |
