As part of the plan, there are three (3) phases of the CYDFI Scholarship
Project Model which are available to scholars and these are:
  • Phase 1: Calantas High School Scholarship Grant
  • Phase 2: Calantas College Scholarship Grant
  • Phase 3: Calantas Graduate School Scholarship Grant

The first five (5) honor students in class, starting from the 1st down to the 5th
honor student will be the target population, as potential beneficiaries of the
Scholarship Project of the Foundation. The current scholars are all graduates
from the Calantas Elem. School, and none as yet from the Nabuclod School
due to some
issues of implementation of the Scholarship Grant.
  • Phase 1 Grant is sponsored by the CYDFI Founders and Mendoza
Family and christened as: Apung Pio-Posti-Danding High School
    Scholarship Grant.
  • Phase 2 Grant is sponsored by the family of Dr. Herminio Mercado and
is called: Teodoro and Fausta Mercado College Scholarship Grant.
One of the sponsors of the College Scholarship Grant is no other than
Dr. H. Mercado and Family. But, just like Phase 1: APPDHSSG, the
Grant is limited only to accept one scholar at a time, in an interval of
four (4) years. The First (1st) Awardee of the CYDFISP shall, then, be
in a position to move on to the Phase 2.
  • The Founders of Calantas Young Dreamers Foundation, Inc. has made a
commitment to sponsor Phase 1: High School Scholarship Project and
beyond that commitment, there is a need to look for more donors to
support the material needs of the CYDFI Scholars.
The Scholarship Project Model of
the Community Youth Leadership & Empowerment Program of Calantas Young Dreamers Foundation, Inc.
The Foundation appreciates any extra help coming from kind-hearted people
and individuals to assist our scholars move on to their Phase 2 level of
education, and to some extent to the Phase 3 (Graduate School), especially to
those qualified scholars who would like to sharpen their chosen field of
expertise. The Foundation, being a non-profit corporation, needs the help of
the public. Currently, the Founders only guarantee financial resources for the
Phase 1 Scholars.

The Founders believe that "SWREM Theory In Action", as its adopted
methodology, is designed to make the Foundation become a self-sustainable
entity as it reaches its maturity of operation to sustain its own growth and
development. It is, likewise, the belief of the Founders that the effort is being
done like a farmer planting the seed in a garden nourishing and nurturing it
with the water of life. This seed is assured to be provided with the TLC
(Tender Loving Care) it needs to survive so that it will grow healthy and
bloom to bear fruits.

When the right time comes, the farmer shall harvest in abundance the fruits of
his labor which he can share to others. He does this because he believes in
caring is sharing. And this is his way of addressing to help break the cycle of
poverty in the community where he lives and that is, "to empower his
community to become self-empowered". When an individual learns to share,
he cares! He shares because he cares. He cares that is why he shares. This is
Social Responsibility!
