The Scholarship Program of the Calantas Young Dreamers Foundation, Inc. is
divided into three (3) phases of Scholarship Grants: Phase 1 is for High School,
Phase 2 for College and Phase 3 for Graduate School Education. The following
discussion will establish and demonstrate how the three (3) grants are handled,
since the Foundation does not have a financial capacity to immediately address and
attend to the requirements of the grants, the Foundation being initially dependent on
resources coming from kind-hearted individuals and benefactors may, at a given
maturity time, become a self-sustainable institution generated from a positive
impact of the methodology, SWREM Theory In Action (designed to help youth help
themselves so they can help incoming scholars leading to breaking the cycle of
poverty among them, with implications not only to personal but community growth
and development, as they become socially responsible):
Methodology, A Discussion:
In order to ascertain the success of the Scholarship Program Model of the Calantas
Young Dreamers Foundation, Inc., the Foundation has to strictly implement the
methodology it chooses to guide its operation. With the "spiral ripple effect" in
place in the operation of the Scholarship Program, it will enable scholarship
recipients from being empowered to self-empowered that would create a
predictable outcome affecting a dynamic consistent process of growth facilitated
by the Foundation. The establishment of scholarship program is a response to the
innate call of the methodology in which its actualization is not far from being
materialized. Although SWREM Theory In Action is an untested concept, it can,
however, be realistically implemented because it invokes an ancient paradigm of
"helping youth help himself" but challenging the same youth, at the same time, to
walk an extra mile by not only "to help him help himself but him, in turn, will help
other youth through the Scholarship Program Model of the Foundation when he
becomes gainfully employed". When this methodology is put into action, the
predictable impact would have been felt in 8-10 years of its initial operation. This
expectation will bring to a realization the vision of the Calantas Young Dreamers
Foundation, Inc. about social responsibility predicted towards personal and
community growth and development among the youth in Calantas and Nabuclod.
As youth is empowered, his self-esteem is enhanced and this will enable him to
share his life experience to others as he enjoys the fruits of his scholarship
