Phase 1: Apung Pio-Posti-Danding High School Scholarship Grant.
The APPDHSSG addresses the high school education of the scholarship recipients from both
the Calantas Elementary School and
Nabuclod School. Phase 1 is funded initially by the CYDFI
Founders (Tony/Rita) and any interested member of the Mendoza family. However, financial
capacity being scarce and limited, the Founders are hoping that kind-hearted and magnanimous
individuals will come on board to share a meager of their resources to augment their efforts,
especially when Phase 1 Scholars are ready to move on to the next phase of their scholarship:
Phase  2 College. The Founders guarantee only the financial requirements of the recipients of
the Phase 1 High School Scholarship Grant  As of this writing, there are already three (3) CYDFI
Scholars enrolled in high school.

Phase 1 Procedures of Implementarion
  • Pre-Condition: Prior to awarding a full scholarship to the qualified recipients, a 6th
grade first honor student from the Calantas and Nabuclod graduating students,
parents/youth need to understand why they have to sign  a CONTRACT at the
beginning of the scholarship that when the latter finishes  high school through college
and becomes gainfully employed after 8-10 years of schooling, s/he will make a one-time
commitment to sponsor, at least, one or two new scholars from the Calantas and
Nabuclod graduating students, shouldering responsibly about 50%-100% of the cost
of scholarship from high school to college. The ;process shall be done on a continuous
spiral loop basis so that the scholarship program may be extended to others like 2nd
down to the  5th honor students from the Calantas Elem. School graduating class and
down to the 3rd honor student from the Nabuclod School graduating students.
  • Beneficiary and Benefits: Pending availability of funding, initial recipient of full
scholarship will be the 6th  grade First Honor student from the graduating class of
Calantas and Nabuclod. The APPDHSSG only guarantees the high school education
of the recipient which includes a budget from among other things, the following:
    (1) payment of tuition fee if CYDFI Scholar could not maintain academic standing to
continuously qualify him for a free tuition fee in the school, PROVIDED, he meets the
CYDFI Criteria for Maintaining Scholarship, as articulated in Article 3, s2. of the CYDFI
Handbook; (2) books and school supplies, sets of school uniform, transportation and
    personal monthly allowance.
  • Incentives: Other incentives will be explored by the Executive Committee for scholars
who demonstrated unqualified accomplishments both in the school and community
settings. Incentives are designed to empower youth to excel in their scholarship.
  • Cash Awards Presentation: In coordination with and approval of the Calantas Elem.
School Administration and facilitated by the CYDFI Executive Committee members, all
awards will be distributed to the top three (3) honor students (from 1st to 6th Grade)
during annual Calantas Elementary School Commencement Exercises to empower youth
to strive harder in school and look forward to a brighter future in life thru education.
  • Funding Sources: Phase 1 will be primarily funded by the CYDFI Founders with the
rental income generated from the agri-business such as the Niniko Diesel-Gas Station.
Other family members are encouraged to also participate in this crusade!
