Note On Incentive to CYDFI Scholars:
It is but appropriate for the Foundation to recognize and develop a POLICY On INCENTIVE for
qualified CYDFI Scholars. Any CYDFI Phase 2 Scholar is assumed to be qualified to receive incentive
from the beginning of the Phase 2: CYDFI College Scholarship Program, if the following criteria are met:
  1. That the University/College where the CYDFI Scholar is registered for College courses
    offers ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP GRANT to academically excellent students;
  2. That the University/College offers an equivalent monetary value of the Academic
    Scholarship Grant but credited to the school expenses of qualified student;
  3. That the CYDFI Scholar enrolled meets the qualification criteria for Academic Scholarship
    Grant set by the University/College.
  4. That the main CYDFI SPONSOR will fully agree on this INCENTIVE, as a source of
    empowering further the CYDFI Scholar to work harder and excell in school;
  5. That item #2 will be used as a guide for CYDFI and the CYDFI SPONSOR to agree that
    the latter will continue to provide the "agreed" full financial support and whatever school
    expenses credited to CYDFI Scholar due Academic Scholarship Grant provided by the
    University and/or College, has to be given in CASH to the said CYDFI Scholar.
  6. That if all above-mentioned items are satisfied, the CYDFI Scholar will receive the full
    equivalent monetary value of the Academic Scholarship Grant from the University/College
    which will be coming from the main CYDFI Sponsor.

Scenario #1
  • In the case of Cherry Ann, the said policy being contemplated on Incentive has already been
    executed and it is a matter of articulating an Incentive Policy Document to make it official.
  • Cherry Ann has already been given her P12k Monetary Incentive from Dr. Herminio Mercado
    and the P10k (to be given by the CYDFI Founders) shall be awarded during the 7th Annual Board
    Meeting in August 2008.
  • For future scholars qualified to receive incentives, funds shall be covered by the sponsors.
  • This Incentive Policy shall also cover scholars from the Satellite Scholarship Program Model.
