Understanding the Implications of
SWREM Theory In Action
to Community Growth and Development
Eventually, a person getting through the CYDFI Scholarship Program
will come to feel a wholesome experience in life and this feeling will
generate a "
spontaneous response" of wanting to do and share
something of what he now comes to recognize as him, having the ability
and resources to give something back to the community. The person
who now feels ready and willing to give something back to community
growth and development in Calantas and Nabuclod may be attributed
partly , in one of the
criteria of the program during the scholarship time
of requiring scholars to engage and do regular community work in
Calantas and Nabuclod with school children, creating activities that
encourage social responsibility to self, others, family and community.
The ultimate beneficiary of this CYDFI Scholarship Program strategy is
not only Calantas and Nabuclod youth but also, other communities by
advocating in the replication of the CYDFI Scholarship Program Model.
The SWREM Theory as a model will spark breaking the cycle of poverty
within the family and community as the "
spiral with ripple effect
motion"
will slowly generate a series of motions and commotions
positively affecting other members of the community.

The
graphic animated illustration demonstrates the "ripple effect"
of the Scholarship Program as the number of scholars grow in number
and has a multiplying effect towards not only personal but community
growth and development leading to the Foundation of becoming a
self-sustainable organization supported by its own successful graduates
as they begin to pour in their resources to help incoming new CYDFI
Scholars per mandate of their commitment and contract made when they
(youth and parents) accepted the "Terms" of the Foundation for the
Scholarship (CYDFI Handbook. Art. 3, s1.ss1.1b) that reads:
"Youth
and his/her parents need to sign a CYDFISP Contract to make
a commitment to, at least, sponsor one or two new incoming
scholars from the CES graduating class upon graduation and
gainful employment, shouldering at least 50%-100% of the cost
of the Scholarship Program". Some of these scholars might
pursue further education into the Phase 3 of the SCholarship
Program and be enrolled in Master or Doctoral Programs, of
their chosen career.
Life begins to
unfold its mystery
as you open your
heart and soul to
those young minds,
empowering them
to be at their best
in the pursuit of a
better direction and
guidance in life, for
one day, those
young minds will
shine like little
stars ready to
guide others, too,
as well.
